Enrolment codes for a first security key, and sign-in unlocks. Every action is audited.

Issue a first-key enrolment code

For a staff member who has no security key yet. The code works once, for 24 hours, and replaces any earlier code for that person. Give it to them by a different channel from their password (in person or by phone), never in the same e-mail.

Unlock a locked sign-in

After 5 wrong passwords, sign-in locks for 60 minutes. Unlock only after you have confirmed it is really the person asking.
